"The teacher who is indeed wise does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom but rather leads you to the threshold of your mind."

A Bit About Therapy

Psychotherapy is a collaborative treatment based on the relationship between an individual and a qualified expert. The psychotherapist provides a supportive environment that allows the individual to talk openly with someone who is neutral, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. Self expression initiates and expands a person’s awareness, which in turn helps that person understand thoughts and feelings in relation to a problem. In short, therapy contributes to resolve problematic behaviors, beliefs, feelings, relationship issues, and/or somatic responses (sensations in the body). It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the patient and therapist alike. But in the end, developing awareness of the underlying source of the symptoms and improving your skills to cope with emotional distress and pain can bring life-altering results.
